algorithmic modeling for Rhino

normals on a diagonal patterned surface

hey there-

 

I think my problem is a little basic... so sorry in advance, but I'm trying to create a diamond pattern on a lofted surface (the diamond script was posted here a little while back) and then get the normals from those points to generate sdl lines... but for some reason the normals I'm getting are really weird and erratic.  does anyone see what I'm doing wrong?
