algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi all,
The new release of PanelingTools for Rhino 5 and Grasshopper is now available for download from here...
New in this release:
-----------------------
PanelingTools for Rhino 5:
1) ptShuffleGrid - Added history support.
2) ptOffsetGridByHeightfield. The command was broken. This is now fixed.
3) ptUnrollFaces - Added the "LabelSide" option to help place labels outside or inside the panel
4) ptUnrollFaces - Added the "Explode" option to help unroll polysurfaces or joined faces as one continuous strip.
PanelingTools for Grasshopper:
5) Fixed a crash when input multiple mesh modules to ptMorph3DMean component. The component now works correctly with a list of input start and end modules.
6) Fixed a bounding bug in ptMorph3DMean component.
Wishing you all a happy new year!

That is Awesome Rajaa, wish you Happy New Year
Same to you Rafat.
Homar,
When you open a new session, do you see the PanelingTools menu in Rhino? If so, can you check what version it is (Help Forum and Docs).
If not, can you re install PT?
Also, are you installing as a single user?
Hi Rajaa,
Thanks for your reply. The paneling tools version is : Sep 4 2014. I am installing for single user only.
Homar, There is a newer version. try that and let me know if you still have trouble
Hi Rajaa,
I already installed the new version and the same problem exist. However, in the Rhino 5 32 bit version, the new PT installed correctly (see snapshot). For the Rhino 5 (64 bit) i took a screen shot and there are two pull down menus of PT. The left if clicked shows the older version and works fine, but when the right menu is clicked the software freezes and crashes.
In my PC, Rhino 5 32 bit and 64 bit are installed and Rhino 4 as well. Just for your info.
Thanks.
Hi Rajaa,
May i ask for any update on my issue?
Thanks.
Hi Homar,
For some reason you ended up with 2 versions of the plugin.
Please try the following:
Go to the PluginManager, look for PanelingTools plugin, and in "Properties", you will see the path where PT is saved, and open the folder. Close Rhino, then zip all old versions of PanelingTools (to keep as backup). Try to install the latest PT after that. I hope that works.
Welcome to
Grasshopper
