algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys,

I'm trying to use a kangaroo script for obtaining generative growth patterns. But it seems ive become limited to a very basic disc like shape to start with, that give me some sort of desired result.

I understand the logic of the same to be doing the following :

1. Make mesh from surface

2. Remesh so that the boundaries have more density of faces.

3. Using kangaroo - elasticity + equal edge length.

4. Essentially its the many mesh edges around the outer side trying to un-furl or open up, resulting in the coral like flowery effect.

I need help in translating the same script in other surfaces/mesh. The problem is that how to get a new mesh with desired face density ? what i want to do is the following:

1. change shape from disc to strip like surface/mesh ( ANY )

2. Re- meshing it such that there are more faces on the outer(naked boundary) part of my form.

3. Re-meshing it such that i can decide where to have more density where less.

4. Mesh on ANY surface with controlled density of faces on certain side.

By experimenting a lot i got THIS : using a hollowed disc.

But still i understood its because there are more

DESIRED DENSITY AT DESIRED AREA ONLY* WHEN I GENERALLY CHANGE THE SURFACE, THE MESHING DENSITY changes unpredictibly.

For eg. if i use a lofted surface, i  get kinnd of an equally distributed mesh (according to the surface uv) but i want to add MORE faces only in one area ( or side ) of the surface without changing the form. Only no of faces and edges being added on one side. How to achieve this ?
