Need Help Creating a Running Bond Brick Wall with other features.

I have been exploring brick wall patterns with grasshopper and have been having difficulty with the following exploration:

I am working on a definition that tries to generate blocks/bricks onto a selected surface geometry and I need to be able to control the quality of the brick/surface so that it is 'unique' in specific areas. These specific areas must vary in width opening and possibly start to rotate the brick. How do I start something like this? What methods/components must I first understand in order to tackle this problem? I'm including some images of what I'm talking about. Any advise will help. Thanks in advance.

you could use an "attractor" point and evaluate the distance between this point and the bricks.. then select those that are closer and move, rotate, etc.. if you use the closet point component, you can use multiple points...

also you can use an "attractor" curve...
