algorithmic modeling for Rhino

need HELP!!! 3d model problem

hi everyone,

 

im trying to model this....

i had the idea of making an enneper function but im not sure how to feed the thing back into itself so that it will make the next growth possible. im not even sure if this is a good way to go.... 

 

any ideas/tips welcome.

Not sure if I can be any help, but the "feed the thing back into itself" part is not possible if you have created it as Grasshopper components. GH will now catch (or crash) any recursive data streams of components that depend upon themselves. You will need to run any recursion of this nature through a Script Component written in either VB or C#.

i think ur right, thats a bit beyond me though. i tried the minimal surface tool but that didnt quite work out.

 

just to add, im not trying to replicate that exact growth, just the final result
