algorithmic modeling for Rhino

naked edges_problems with welding meshes properly_HELP!

Please, I really hope someone can help me with this. It's for a studio project and I don't have much time. I'm not sure why, but I'm having serious trouble with welding my meshes, and as a result, I'm unable to run it through kangaroo and then test it for solar isolation later on...
I've spent hours trying to figure this out, but I'm out of ideas. I posted something about mesh relaxation in kangaroo a few days ago:  http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/trouble-with-mesh-relaxat...
I don't know how Daniel Piker did it. It made all complete sense, and I followed all his steps, and it still doesn't work when I try to create another iteration. My meshes are just not welding properly
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm attaching the rhino file together... The example from Daniel is in green circle, and one of my tests is in orange. You can see that the edges of the mesh are not clean and there are tiny holes at the joint seems. I've tried everything, from rebuilding, remeshing, exploding and joining, welding in rhino and grasshopper, and I can't figure out how he did it. In one of the examples I baked, one can see that the joint between the vertical and horizontal mesh creates a 'ring' which prevents the mesh from relaxing properly.

Did you try not to check "jagged edge"? I don't know Daniels logic behind his suggestion, but I can recreate his own perfectly joined mesh only with this option set to false. Set it to true and the vertices at the edge will no longer align.

Hannes, you are absolutely right. It works perfectly fine with the "jagged seams" unchecked. I'm not sure why Daniel suggested to set this option to true. In either case, thanks a lot for taking a look at this!

Oops, my mistake - sorry. I think I must have mixed up the 'refine mesh' and 'jagged seams' options when typing that. Thanks for picking this up Hannes

I thought I was going crazy... but now I will remember for sure ;) Thanks again Hannes!
