Ah, then no, because there is no guaranteed unique mapping from Y onto X. Only linear can be mapped this way, but beziers, gaussians, sines etc. etc. all might have multiple x's that generate the same y.

Hi Andrei,
did you mean in the Graph Mapper? If yes, then that's called the inverse function and is not automatically derivable from the function itself in general. For some operations it is easy, though. At the moment the graph mapper does not support it.
