if you want to work with split surface you just have to simplify the curve input but then you have to remove the surfaces describing the slot.
in order to avoid that you could use the trim solid component and get the trimmed surfaces only as an output. in that case the pipes need to be flattened so that all surface get trimmed by all of the pipes.

i am not sure i have understood what you are after.
if you want to have ribs up or down, then you need the stream filter as described here

if you want then both be trimmed then you need to merge the cylinder.

by toggling the boolean you select which pipes are going to trim the ribs. so either the up or down side. with merge and then flatten you combine all pipes in one list.

turns out this is not only a data structure problem.
the brep / brep intersection component outputs curves that do not have the same direction. so when using the midpoint of these curves to create pipes, the pipes can not be ''grouped'' properly in upper and lower pipes.
my workaround was to use the curve extremes component to have the points arranged so that finally the lines created by them all have the same direction
