Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

This may just be me missing a tool but, I am trying to split a list into more than 2 parts (equal for this project).

What I have resorted to so far is splitting a list in half then splitting that again and again but I am trying to split this list into 20 parts and at the moment the chain just looks a little ridiculous. Is there a tool in existence or could someone help me out with a little custom component?

As a future adaptation, if the split tool could have a customisable number of outputs that would be awesome.

What you're describing is the SubList Component. You need to create a number of Domians

hey

the pathmapper does this.

for example:

Thanks for the speedy response Guys,

I'll have to test these out when I get home but the list I'm currently trying to split is a series of random numbers in a random order. Will this make them sequential? If so is there a way to pick them by index number rather than data number?

Again I can't check until I get home but to separate the outputs I just need to add component to separate the branches (apologies I can't remember the names of all the components off the top of my head)

Hey Danny,

I like your subset idea. It keeps the static pathmapper out of it.

Here is what I made out of it :-)

Awesome thanks both of you. That looks like exactly what I'm looking for

How do you divide my list into two parts? All the lists with 1 are together.

the result should be like this:

1

27

1

30

1

44

45

53
