moving points along various curves

I have recently bumped into problem I can't resolve.

I want to move the points along the curves but I am receiving some unexpected results for spline. Moving points along polyline shows equal distances while spline is more of a random gaps.

Any clue?

Have you tried rebuilding the curve first?

Just checked. Rebuilding won't help either. It produces the same results. Besides, it is not the same curve after rebuilding so it is not the answer I am looking for.

Rebuilding the curve works for me. Just rebuild your curve with a sufficiently high number of control points.

I mean, if your maximum deviation between your original curve and your rebuilt one is 1/1000th of a millimeter, does it really matter that the rebuilt curve is technically not the original one?
