algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hey guys,
here is my new conundrum:
I have a perforated surface affected by a point on curve. There is also a cylinder behind the surface at each perforation. The idea is that the cylinders will protrude through the surface in relation to the same point on curve. I have been able to get a set of cylinders to follow the point and protrude through the surface, but only by creating a new cylinder, rather than moving the original cylinder on the grid, which is what I am aiming to do. Is there a way to move the original cylinders in this fashion without creating a new set of cylinders that follow the point? Thanks in advance!

simple answer: no.
To be more specific: the very first thing, a GH component does is create a copy of the input. You never actually touch the original input data,
But you can move the cylinder's base before creating the cylinder itself.
