algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm looking for a better way to manipulate the points in a trigrid - i have a hack work around but it involves using a delaunay mesh and my triangles' position in the list end up getting shifted in ways that arent really useful. I need to be able to pull out triangles with a  culling pattern but it's impossible given its current state.

Is there a way to move shared vertices together, as a single point, rather than as separate per-triangle vertices?

thanks

it's exactly as you've done in your example except that I don't want to move individual points but all of them, but random distances...

What about this? Trying sets instead of strings.

this looks good - puts out the right points, but in mine they come out not as branches as in your example and the triangles are all messed up - cant see any reason why yours i behaving differently

I can't either.

If you post an image of your def I might see something.

 thanks Ola

you have been very clear.

Ola, here's a screen grab

does anyone see a difference? im really stuck on this one....

here's the two pieces, one my faceted surfaces created with the hack delaunay where I lose the ordering of the triangles, and two, the reason why i need the ordered triangles

ola, sorry. i built you rversion in isolation and it in fact does work...now i just have to debug my version....thanks so much!!!

Ok, great!
