Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I am a long-term Rhino user (v1 onwards), but as a complete newcommer to the concepts of Grasshopper, I am interested in any pointers towards modelling the "random" wave surface of a body of water - effectively allowing for the influence of wind or tide etc on the surface.
Any knowlege in this direction would be greatfully received.

Robert, not entirely sure of what you mean by random but I've uploaded a VB that takes a point list and introduces a random z height (+sin wave) into the set - may give you some idea of how to introduce variation?
