Modeling a Coral reef in GH

How can I model a coral reef in GH ?

Coral reefs seem like nature's attempt to maximise surface area while maintaining the volume - an endeavor worth repeating.

Since the exact shape of solid is not important, what I was thinking was, to start with a solid cuboid, and extrude it with spoked-surface.

Can this process be improved?

Check out this definition. It might need some tweaking, but you can use the same basic principals
