algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello all,
I'm trying to make a mesh cutout of a sign where the letters have a radius of a bigger circle (Radius=0.1) and the rest of the mess is half of that (R=0.05). I have a grid setup in a triangle pattern as I want the mesh offset like so. Now I'm stuck, but feel close. I want all the circles inside the text to be big (R=0.1) and the rest of the surface small.
I'm sure there's better ways to get to this point, so if anyone can tweak the initial part that'd be great.
Below is the goal of this, to create a jpg like below. This was done in photoshop over probably 3 hrs (not by me). Now the text is changing, and I thought I could just script it. Not less time so far =(
My rhino/grasshopper files are below as well.
Thanks!

Ethan, thanks for the quick reply.
Yours is super close but not exactly what I was trying to achieve, although much closer. Unless I'm just using it wrong.
I'm trying to achieve the following as shown in this picture.
And only circles everywhere there is a dot on this triangle grid pattern (at intersections not center)
your welcome
Most Excellent this is perfect.
Oh duh I should have been able to catch that, it was coming out of the wrong triangle points. Thanks again! The world needs more people like you!
Okay, so just when I thought I had it, I'm not quite there still. I am able to get the big holes of the sign to cut out of a surface, but not the small ones. Whenever I try to do the same operation on the small points it crashes. I had to cull some of the points, because it was giving me three times as many points since it was the intersection of triangles I think, if the points aren't grafted the planar surface doesn't work.
