metaball isocurve startpoint not in line

Please take a look at the picture and the ghx file.

If I divide the curves, why aren't all the point in line?

edit: I discovered the direction is different too.

After I changed the direction of the two curves, the points were in the right place.

Why do the directions differ when creating metaball curves?
