Mesh.Vertices.GetConnectedVertices BUG

It seems that mesh.vertices.getconnectedvertices function doesn't work properly with complex meshes (where complexity means vertex valency). If I ask for connected vertices for lets say vertex number 24, I get a list of integers which also contains 24. 

Yet it works properly with simple meshes (like a triangulated mesh plane).
