algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello Everyone,
I am trying to 3D print a model but the software managing the printing cannot understand it since it is quite complex.
For this reason, I am trying to reorder the meshes and unify them (purple ones with grey ones) in Grasshopper...but still it is not woking.
I don't know how the "Mesh Union" script works so I cannot correct it in some way..
can someone help me ?
I am attaching the files...
Thank you guys!

I think the mesh union is failing because there are lots of mesh faces that are close to being co-planar or that overlap by very small amounts.
I think you might have to re-think how you create this geometry. Either you need to create meshes that all join nicely at the intersections or perhaps create one solid surface plus geometry representing the holes and cut the holes from the solid mesh.
Thank you Martyn.
I think that this can be the problem. I'll try to make the the thick rods lower than the others, so that there won't be the strange intersection that you posted in the picture!
Thanks!
