This def. can convert your mesh to polysurface.

Your mesh is a mixture of two types.(Tri +Quad mesh)

You'd better sort them out and convert to Nurbs and recombine them together accordingly.

This is an interesting problem (and nice solution Hyungsoo)

Has anyone ever come across a way of doing this on a closed mesh by taking either a spherical surface that encompasses the whole mesh and shrink wrapping it to the target mesh or starting with a small sphere inside the mesh and "inflating" it until it fits the inside of the mesh?
