algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi, I am new here and also new to grasshopper. I'm currently working on a recursive mesh mountain fractals.
I'm having a problem with the self intersection mesh of my model. I have attached the image and the grasshopper file for reference.
Based on the image, I used mesh|mesh intersection component and plugged in the same set of mesh (data with 49 branches) to locate the intersecting mesh. For some reason, the intersection shows a different result as to the obvious intersection (highlighted in dotted lines). I'm not sure why it's not working or maybe I have plugged the wrong component.
Can anyone give me a suggestion/show the correct way to do this? basically to find the self intersecting mesh face within a set of mesh.
Thanks in advance

Hi Aslan,
It looks like you have two grafted lists in your intersection. Try two things: 1) Flatten both lists 2) Try Cross-referencing both lists so that every mesh face checks for every mesh face.
I hope it helps,
Arthur
Aslan,
have a look at the file and ps I attached. You need to make sure you avoid self intersections through datatree management. Then use dispatch based on a null flag to get your meshes. Also you might want to look into making the definition more efficient by intersecting only adjacent objects.

thank you very much Arthur and Andrei. I will look into this and try to correct my definitions.
