Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,

I´m trying to boxmorph a honeycomb pattern onto a mesh. I managed to convert the mesh faces to surfaces and then boxes.

But the geometry does a very strange rotation around the boxes on the polysurface. Does anyone have a clue, what this is about?

Cheers,

Herwig

Hi Herwig

nice work!

I tried it out on a surface for my project and it works nice with a small problem caused by the irregular mesh division

that's why I wanted to ask you how did u generate such a nice surface?

I'm bit new to meshes so maybe this is a strange question but I would appreciate your answer

thanks in advance

Agnieszka

thanks, but the mesh is actually from a model i did in maya. the script only should apply a repeating honeycomb on an existing mesh.

i guess the problem, i am having with the directions is caused by the meshes uvw parametrisation that has nothing to do with grasshopper... i guess, that´s why no one else is responding.

Hi

I understand

good luck anyway
