Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi All,

I am really struggling trying to merge two sets of data appropriately.

I have a set of polylines and a set of meshes I want merged together. These polylines and meshes should be on the same branch if the polyline is physically inside the mesh.

Additionally can these separate branches be sorted according to the volume of the mesh on that branch.

I have included a screen shot and a script started. I figured I could test for inclusion by evaluating a point on the polyline... After that, I am really struggling.

If you could please help me I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you!

Ethan

Oh, forgot about sorting the meshes by volume - like this, which affects the merged list too:

Joseph,

much appreciated! This works great. Too many late nights and not enough grasshopper experience makes seemingly simple things like this difficult!

Thanks again for the guidance/help figuring this out!

Ethan

You were 95% of the way there and did an excellent job preparing your questions, with a clear description, screen image and well-organized code.  All it takes is practice.  Enjoy.
