Merge two grids

I try to merge two grids. I am very new to grasshopper so I tried about every intersect block I could find (without having knowlegde how to use them correctly), so pardon my noobiness.

I managed to get a start with Trim Solid, however this only works if the grids are at the right intersection, normally it's all messed up.

I tried to flatten and graft all I could, but it didn't result in something better.

It probably ahs something to do that it doesn't know outside from inside after the trim. The offset doesn't go in the right direction, see image:

Here is a minor solution.

 

But I think the offset is not a good idea for merging grids..
