algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey guys, this is probably a no brainer, I thought trim tree would do it.. I'm trying to reduce the tree so that each would contain its 3 branches  on one branch . Basically it should just be a list with 4 branches , each one containing the data of x,0 x,1 and x,2

If your structure is "known" you can safely use mapper. If not ... see attached

the definition worked good but it seems I had a more complex branch then I though because I flattened and grafted at some point so I lost my original structure.. that had a few branches combined so I went back in time and fixed it from there. :)

Well ... if the structure is "corrupted" > meaning that no "rules" around > garbage in > garbage out.

thanks a lot guys

I can't help but feel that you might have missed the point I was trying to make, so I think I'll just leave it here. But perhaps we can agree to simply point newcomers to the thread which was designed for the exact purpose of helping them formulate their inquiry (instead of hitting them over the head with our own “helpful” advice and opinions).

Edit: This was a reply to Joseph, ran out of nesting.

I wouldn't refer to is as a new-comer thing..  many times a picture is enough and there is no code needed.. not at all times a person knows exactly which part of the code to add and one doesn't wanna post huge rhino models. If there is a need for code people just say it.

I didn't see a problem with the post honestly. The fact that the guy is all over the place doesn't mean he has a point.. :)

quote kipodi:

This is explained in point 3, on the page Mateusz has just attached.

Just because you don't get the point doesn't mean I don't have one.

I don't take kindly to being called an ass.  I didn't bring that to this discussion.

Your post was all too typical of a recent trend on this forum that increasingly makes it a boring waste of time.

hey guys don't you love it when it all ends with a hug.. or a black eye.

the bottom line is that what kipodi wanted is doable with... well you know. code.

sorry peter i couldn't resist. :-)

I don't understand why trim tree is not the correct solution here. It does exactly the same thing as peter's scripts and AB's manual approach - and it does what you're describing. Can you explain why Trim Tree didn't work for you?
