algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Can someone point me in the direction of a source of mathmatical surfaces with equations for x,y,z coordinates of point movement. Similar to this, I understand the method, I'm just looking for a place that has the equations for x,y,z of points for geometries.

Hi Bruno,

There are some posts already on the forum here, try just to google it. As for example this one http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/lorentz-attractor-in-gh

Hi Dimitry,

thanks for your replay.

The Lorenz equation with I want to work is:

My problemes are:

1-create points

2-order points

3-create mesh

Attachments:

the file is not working without the rhino file - referenced points. have run that?

draw a point.

sure:)

do you want to mesh the static state or dynamic? check this simulation http://www.openprocessing.org/visuals/?visualID=2362

i want to repeat this process in the above picture.

but i get a problem, and i can not get the result.

i did not know why. please help me.

thank you

Use the other pComp, Decompose points will give you x,y,z values.
probably something like the "radius" of the thing.
oh i was thinking like initial area.

Hi Michael,

here is the rule how to translate parametric 3d equation into 2d surface logic

Cool, unfortunately I dont know anything about python or scripting in general. I'm sure it's possible with just native GH components. Afterall the intent of GH is ultimately the use of scripting without scripting.
