mathematic expressions??

Hi!

 

Im trying to recreate the drawing I posted, but im a little stuck on the mathematical expressions, does someone know which function will create that curvature that afterwards I will loft to create a surface?

Have you got a better picture? Maybe something with a bit less self-occlusion?

Sorry about that!

 

What I want to do is to verticaly intersect a series of curves like the one I'm sending you. It is really simple, but i have no idea of how to give a line a rotation in order for them to intersect and overlap.
