Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys,

I have a problem in recreating the pattern of the attached photo. It is a square grid that offsets every second row. Could anyone teach me how to do that? I have attempted in making it using relative item but I still can't do it.

I think the problem is grasshopper keeps making the polyline for every point so the pattern actually overlaps?

I don't want to use split set because i want to manipulate each polyline individually later.

A grid that shifts.

Hi.

Lunchbox plug-in has "staggered Quad Panels" component.

Hey Kim, is there a way not using lunch box plugin? But only using grasshopper definitions such as cull pattern and relative item?

You can make staggered grid without plug-in, and someone can give you more simple and efficient definition.

But I think it would be easier to use plug-ins such as "lunchbox" or "paneling Tools".

Thank you for replying Kim!! But I am wondering if plugin like lunch box allows me to edit the curves and surfaces as freely, flexibly as grasshoppers?
