Managing Lists - Digital toolbox tutorial help

Hey everyone,

So I'm following this tutorial by digital toolbox:

http://digitaltoolbox.info/grasshopper-advanced/cull-crvsrf/

and I am having trouble extracting the list items, the point sequence seem jumbled from the beginning right after dividing the surface. Making the groupings of four and separating them using list item seems to work but I believe the points are not orientated or listed in the correct manner from the divide surface command. I would like to achieve list item groups that allow me to isolate each row just like the tutorial. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Will

Can you please leave out the .3dm Rhino file and internalize the surface you want to start with in GH?

At a glance, it's not clear at all what the model is doing?  Sorry, I'm not going to watch the video.

Of course, no problem thanks for your time.

without watching the video, see if this is what you tried to achieve.

Hey Horus,

That is sort of what I wanted. In the video the points of the extracted surface are in lists separated into rows like highlighted in the ref picture. It is with the intention to draw a diagrid across the intersections between the list points.

Yes, very nicely done!  'Path Mapper' to the rescue.  You are a List Master.

That setting to "Only draw preview geometry for selected objects" is handy too, will have to remember that.
