Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I created this script in hopes to create a waffle structure with different curves on both sides. I was successful in doing that and now the goal is to make a surface that runs through the waffle but never goes outside of that. At the end i took the surfaces and broke them down into points in the z direction because the points in the x and y are the same for all three surfaces. The top two surfaces (the surfaces of the waffle) are used to create a domain and the bottom surface was broken down into the z points. I need the bottom surfaces points to be in the domain given. Anyone that can help me, please do, the script is written. I also need help simplifying this is possible.

Hi Nick,

It seems like you're jumping through many hoops to arrive at what you're looking for.

Have a look at the attached file.

For speed, the second surface is simply the mirror of the first, and the center surface is for now untouched ... copy the graph mapped manipulation for the top and middle surface if you would like control over them independently.

The waffle is the result of connecting the lines drawn along the surfaces after they were divided into points ...

cheers,

n
