making truss structure on nurbs freeform surface

hi all, i have a problem with making truss on free form surface,problem is that i wanna to shape structure just like my surface but it shaped like surface control points (kind of rectangular grid) is it anyway that i use nurbs surface with control points adjust like surface edges? thanks
