Making a hyperbolic paraboloid surface developable for fabrication

Hi 

I'm a beginner at working with complex surfaces,

so far I have been working with variations of a hyperbolic paraboloid

I've used 3d printing and laser cutting with waffle structures and now I want to use some technique that divides the surface into planes that can later be atached together (something like the sketch below)

I used the part where you do the "triangulate surface" baking from the weave,

I was wondering now, how can I flatten and spread out each piece as well as adding some sort of 'flap' that can be used to staple or glue the pieces together.

In fact my definition adds the "flaps" to the triangles, but it does it just in a side of them so that you don't have to cut each triangle but instead you cut rows of triangles so that it's easier to assembly, I added the responsive part just as an example, but you could cut that off and use the rest of the definition, you could check the process i developed and change it so that it makes what you want. it's not really complicated.

Gustavo, I modified my definitions and created this one, hope it works for you, it will create a separated plane for each triangle, and you'll get this tags for reference in the assembly, as well as in the original survace. you'll see two outputs for curves, if you are planning to cut it with a laser, bake the one that says cut in one layer and the one that says engrave in another layer.
