Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello everybody,

i'm making a tower with grasshopper and i need to design the structure.

I did the offset of the rotation of the curve, divide distance to get the points, i tryed in diffrent ways to get the lines but i couldn't. I would like to make the beams and the pilars of the structure. How can i get lines between the vertical points?

Thanks for the help.

like this?

Exactly!Thank you very much!

Do you also know how i can connect them in horizontaly the parallel point? when i try to do that some of are connecting parallel but not all of them.

dont get it, maybe a sketch?

Of course!i need to make the yellow and green lines. I think the the problem it could be also how to manage the points.

this is my goal in all of the floors.

sure there is a better way to do this, maybe someone else post it.

See attached (as an exercise: elaborate more on the "exo structure" AND do the thing ... the other way [plus: using instance definitions with regard "typical" members of the structure: say a giant MERO truss]).

Forgot to internalize the "spine"

Thats a nice example Peter, but no c#? hehe

Good to have it studying the relative items component.

btw: talking about DataTrees , got stuck applying the recursion thing on a simple example.

No C# because: (a) is for Daniela, (b) you would do it.

BTW: Just a single added thing (the twist) brings two BIG main issues: clash plus an additional tube  out-most "layer" is required (not included).

BTW: Imagine the future where carbon fiber would replace steel - concrete (and pigs do fly). Thus an "exoskeleton" could be occasionally meaningful (far less thermal bridges). With this in mind finish the LBS and do something with regard vertical circulation. Since the facade quads and not planar ... triangulate them properly. For heights use classic combos for floor to false ceiling and false ceiling to floor (say: 2.7m [3*0.9] - 1.8m [2*0.9] or 2.4-2.4 [big overhangs] etc etc).

And honoring my fiancee (Paris Hilton, what else?) the usual sardine challenge for the brave in Pink: finish the floor truss properly.
