algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I noticed that every time I run an update on let's say adaptive components it resets the instance parameters built into that family back to default values.

Imagine a family that has instance parameters for rotation. I use lyrebird to place it. Then i go into revit and manually adjust some instance parameters. When later i go back to update their location using lyrebird it resets the instance parameters back to their default values. Is there a way to update only the information that I am feeding into the Lyrebird (location) and nothing else?

Thank you,

For the most part Lyrebird should just move an element and update and any parameters you specify for it to and nothing more.  There are some cases with system families where it will have to delete/replace a family rather than updating it which would cause you to lose any input parameters, but adaptive components shouldn't do this.  If it's resetting parameters I wonder if it is replacing them rather than updating the point locations.  So no real answer, but I'll add it to the list of things I need to look into when I get my dev computer back.
