Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey (David)!

With a rather large definition, I just switched to GH 0.9 (which basically worked well), and caused by the slower UI I clustered some parts.

Now I loose my geometry references (simple lines) everytime I save&close the cluster. Also Internalizing the geometry fails.

Referencing a dedicated 'Line' works ..

Just saw that also GeometryPipeline does not collect data within a Cluster.

Is a cluster eventually not meant to reference geometry from Rhino?

The problem is that expiration events raised by the cluster are ignored by the cluster object and therefore do not propagate all the way to the top. I'm not quite sure yet how to solve this best. The next release may still have this problem.

Another minor cluster-related issue: When having the solver locked, I open and edit a cluster, but when I close it via the top right file-overview-dropdown GH does not ask me if I would like to save the cluster changes but closes and neglects them ..

are these reports of any use?

Yes, they are very useful. Working on the locked-solver thingy now.

Hmm, cannot repeat this. Closing a modified cluster either via the cluster box icon or the MDI menu will pop up the 'blah blah modified, you want to save blah blah' warning, whether the solver is locked or not.

Can you give me exact steps needed to reproduce this? I.e. do you lock the solver before or after you open the cluster etc. etc.

Hm, I cannot either. Quite sure (...?..) I posted this caused by actual record but now failing to prove. Sorry for wasting your time!

I'll try it with the definition it occured with, but probably this was my mistake.

Hi Robert,

Geometry parameters did not deserialize correctly. I fixed the problem which sounds like it might also have caused this bug.
