Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I am working on a project regarding the composition of tetrahedron at their adjacent faces to grow into a larger overall composite. My plan of action was originally for the geometry to mirror itself and grow to the set outcome (distance to point in Galapagos). Though I cannot conceive how to get grasshopper to loop the data of which tetrahedron it is acting on (1, then 2, then 3, etc.).

I understand this could be done in python quite easily as well thought I am a beginner with scripting python so I thought to try Grasshopper first.

Suggestions in any form would be amazing, thank you.

Hoopsnake

(Append existing data set to true in Hoopsnake component).

Perfect, Hoopsnake tricked me a bit at first. Thanks so much for the help. For now when I run the "loop" simulation through the component it will only let me do one "step" at a time. Is there a way to get it to run through its series completely?

Thanks again,

Nick

Dont forget to reset it each time you change something, before trying a new loop.

Thank you for all your help, truly appreciated!
i have question its possible to get random choose of faces and then mirror, all control by steps, pls help

I have been working on a similar definition, that selects faces randomly, with a random seed based on the iteration number.

Have a look at my blog post to see a video and a screen capture of the definition:

Thanks Nicholas and Systemiq(again).

For multiple directions, Graft the point component.
