Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi ,

im  trying to loft multiple curves each 2 alone in grasshopper

each 2 curves in front of each other are supposed to be lofted as shown in the picture where i manually lofted some curves to show what im talking about .

the problem is in the sorting of the curves where some curves are being lofted with far away curves and in the direction of the curve where the loft is producing weired shapes .

does any one have  an idea how to solve this problem .

Thanks in advance .

Hello baha

your lists of curves must be organized with the correct order for each to loft with each pair

you can right click the options input of loft component and select the loft options, where you check the align sections, to avoid twists caused by the different direction of the curves.

cheers

hello alex .

thanks for your reply

i tried this  but with no luck, i still have the same twisting.i believe the problem is that the curves are not planar .

regarding the organizing of curves, you are right they should be organized but is there a way of sorting different than sorting by length .

best regards

im attaching the rhino file to see what im talking about .

Hello bahaa

this is the best i could get to

two problems. first one, some points are not sorted along the circle and the second is that the panels that dont have their offset get lofted with their nearest next neighbor. but i think its good place to start.

cheers
