algorithmic modeling for Rhino
hi guys
this is just my first week using grasshopper. been trying to create an undulating brick masonry with the help of attractor points.
So, with the help of some tutorials i am able to control the rotation with attractor points. but, as it is a masonry i want to limit the angle of rotation such that the bricks start to interlock and not hang in air as it is now.
i dont know if u could use a function, evn if i could i dont know how to write that.
need some urgent help guys.
thanks

Hi Vipul,
you could use an Expression for this, or you could use the Min and Max components. So if your rotation is not supposed to exceed 25 degrees, then you can feed your angle (provided it is also specified in degrees) into a Min component, where the B value is +25. Then feed the result into a Max component where the B value is -25.

hey
thanks for you suggestions
bt instead of using an attractor point to rotate the bricks. i created a new defination. in which i am able to control rotation of the brick group and the individual bricks, with the help of 2 points. the lower one contros the rotation of the whole group and the upper one controls the rotation of the bricks.
I plan to repeat the groups and keep changing the rotation with the help of the points.
But i want to copy it on a set of points along a divided curve so as to create a masonry, only individuals bricks are copied, and also not able to control the its rotation separately.
let me know where i am going wrong.
thanks

Hey,
Could you paste your definition. Rebuilding takes a lot of time :-)
Helping is easier with the definition

hey,
uploaded the defination
