algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi everybody,
I am still trying to solve my problem, :D
I tried Galapagos and Octopus for optimizing the angle of exterior LS and length of interior LS, but the Rhinoceros stops working during calculation.
I think the problem must be something with lightshelf surface.
Should I connect LightShelf geometry like other parts of zone such as roof, walls, etc. as a HB surface to HB zone?
Mostafa said: "In any case you need to model light-shelves as separate surfaces and not part of the zone." in this discussion:
http://www.grasshopper3d.com/group/ladybug/forum/topics/appcrash-fa...
but I didn't understand what to do, and where should these surfaces be connected.
I have attached a primary sample file.

Hi Fahime,
As mostapha has said you shouldn't attach the light shelf as part of your zone and should be separated.
I attached the revised file to understand better.

Hi Masoome,
Thanks for your reply,
I had tested it, but this method didn't work either on running Galapagos.
Yesterday, I made LS with "Window Shade generator component" and it worked! I also tried "context" component on EP and it worked too,
But I'm not sure if the results are accurate and reliable.
but this method didn't work either on running Galapagos.
Does it mean that the result didn't converged or the file was keep crashing?
Hi Mosatafa, You didn't show up for a while,
The file crashed and Rhino stopped working,
Let me send you the file which works fine, but I'm not sure if it is correct, Because I made LS with "Window Shade generator component" and moved it lower for daylight, and used "context" for EP.
Let me know whenever you checked it, Thanks.
