algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello
Good day
Does anyone have a clue about animating lights (vray / other render engines) through grasshopper?
I'm trying to produce an animated visualization of the steps of a staircase that light up when you step on them.
Each time some one steps on it, it creates a wave of light that ends up fading in the last step of the staircase everytime weaker.
So need to link a light that increases and decreases in potensi, all conected working in unison according to the distanse of a attractor
Sorry for my english
Thanks!

Its something very similar to this
I just need any kind of visual representation that would deal with the stair case and user position to make the whole thing understandable.
Please help
If you need true light emission, you can create (and animate) emitter materials for Maxwell Render with Scarab.
I am currently with out my computer. As soon as i get it back i will try to figure this out. Thanks for responses guys i apreciate.
Any other advice?
advice would be to search the forum and give it many attempts ;)
What do you mean with?
Cull the colors outward from atttractor in a loop via hoopsnake.
something very similar to the first few seconds of this video
but have you even tried it? No one is going to just do it all for you.

sorry to bother but I am really out of time and I was trying to upload info before I get my computer to see if someone as a good idea
You can access(get/set) Rhino light properties using a GUID parameter and a bit of scripting: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/video/gh-point-light-interaction?xg_so...
