Light animation through grasshopper

Hello

Good day

Does anyone have a clue about animating lights (vray / other render engines) through grasshopper?  

 I'm trying to produce an animated visualization of the steps of a staircase that light up when you step on them. 

Each time some one steps on it, it creates a wave of light that ends up fading in the last step of the staircase everytime weaker.

So need to link a light that increases and decreases in potensi, all conected working in unison according to the distanse of a attractor

oh yes this might help me a lot...thanks so much

i am even thinking about mixing my animation with after effects and just simple turn on and off the lights there....looks like thats the most simple solution to demonstrate the idea.
