Launching Kangaroo

Im sorry for this newbie question but ive been using gh for less than a week and i have no programming knowledge... gh is a great tool and the kangaroo physics seems to be awesome too. The thing is that i dont know how to install it or launch it or wathever... ive been serching in the forum and in the kangaroo page but nothing... Thanks for your answers.

Hi Edwin,

To get started with Kangaroo you need to first move the file KangPhys002.gha into your components directory.

Usually this is C:\Program Files\Rhinoceros 4.0\Plug-ins\Grasshopper\Components

I also recommend installing Giulio Piacentino's Weaverbird, as it is very useful for preparing meshes to go into Kangaroo.

Then next time you start Rhino and Grasshopper you should see some new components under the 'Extra' tab.
The example files included in the Kangaroo download should help a little getting started with using it. A first draft of the manual will also be up in the next few days.

i downloaded kangaroo and cant find the file KangPhys002.gha into your components directory. all i see are images, rhino files and xml files
suggestions of what im doing wrong?

The current release of Kangaroo is 0.051, and you can download it, and get instructions on installation here:

I stope using GH and today I had some time for re explore it and I try to use kangaroo but i couldn't, I tried like 10 times to see an example I had from the 0.04xx version and everytime I activated the timer rhino crashed. I rebuilt the example with kangaroo 0.051 but I had the same problem. Im using rhino 4 sr8 and gh 0.8.0010.
