algorithmic modeling for Rhino
perhaps u accidentally input some small objects as "context geometry", because context geometry still cast shadow to your test object.
I have been using ladybug for few projects and have not yet met that kind of bugs.
u could upload your file so the ladybug dev.team can have a look what's wrong with the file.
another culprit could be your mesh is facing the wrong direction, try to check it with rhino "dir" command
Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, There is no small objects on the context geometry. I thought it might because that the top surface is double curve surface. but I don't know how to solve that.
I also uploaded the geometry file here. I will appreciate if you can help me have a look ?
Thanks!
hi, I got similar result as you did when I first plug it to the definition, I rebuild the top surface by splitting it into 4 subsurfaces, and then increase the number of offset distance from base from 1mm (the numbers that I normally use) to 10mm. and somehow it works
I use Singapore Location and internalized the sun vector so you don't have to download EPW to view the file. just delete the panel if it interfere with your ladybug default folders.
maybe not the best way but that is the only solution I could think of
:)
