algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I would try to make a map of the world on a labyrinth sphere model as the picture, do you think it is possible with parametric tools. Did you know what tools to use, or can be help me please. ?!

I've seen this post, but the concern of this design is that it is not uniform on the sphere, there is a top and a bottom. I would like to make a homogeneous thing 'that we can feel lost ... everywhere!

but thanks for the help!

It is not uniform because it use a sphere with "standard" UV. A sphere could be meshed with quad or triangles quite uniform. Here is definition which use Mac Gros definition and 1/6 of a sphere. I thing there are many possibilities. Try to begin a difinition with what you want, bring it.

If you don't want a true labyrinth Truchet tiles could be a good solution. With tri ad quad, whatever you want.

One Truchet tile rotated randomly on a quad mesh sphere.

It's look nice ! Did you have the definition of this ?

I put the file here.

You can make other tiles instead or rotating just one tile.

Thanks again, it's a good start... But, it's not really what I want to do.

thanks again twice !

thank you, I tried your definition, but it really is not homogeneous, you see the deformation between different surfaces.

Hello,

for the fluid path I used the definition here

These are only  "paths" But it is also possible to generate sort of path and walls

No problem to continue in French by mail, in Paris or on French GH Forum.

P.S. je cherche aussi un bon endroit pas trop cher sur Paris (GH n'est qu'un hobby pour moi) pour réaliser ceci avec une découpeuse laser/eau.

For your bowl, You can find some good address not really expensive at the parisian FABLAB.

Or on the website www.sculpteo.com

I found it on YouTube, it looks like what I would like to do, but I do not know how.!
