algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Labelling 3D ?

Hello, I would like to create custom text onto my geometry.

I would like to use 3D printing for nodes.
Each nodes is different. That is why I need to identify them individually.

Would you know how to do it ?

I tried with "texttag" and "texttag3D" then extrusion (minus) but it does really work.

I also shared the definition.

Could you possibly help ?

you need to model the letters in 3d... i think that you can use the line text font from fabtools plugin http://www.food4rhino.com/project/fabtools

then you can create a extrusion and use a boolean operation between your node and 3d model text.

yes of course we have to model the letters in 3d....but the problem is to to find a typo to do that. the typos of the fabtool plugin are just lines...not outlines. perfect for lasering or milling, but not to create a 3d font.

or do you know if it is possible to import new fonts to fabtools?
