Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

This is the simple experiment with Kangaroo. Somebody knows how to make "absolutely rigid" spring in Kangaroo? During rotation the length of the lever changes a little. When I increase stiffness of srings to 1000 000 levers collapse.

  Thanks

Sounds like you're after inverse kinematics.  You might want to check-out some of the robot add-ons like Lobster or Hal:

isn't that like it really behaves ? ;)

Thanks taz but it is not inverse kinematics. It is attempt to create mechanisms like as Teo Jansen etc. It is more simple way of creation of linkages than making intersection circles etc. As I know Lobster and Hal for

inverse kinematics only.

Yes Mateusz  it like really behaves. All is good but the collecting errors of levers length can lead to undesirable consequences.

I hope you understand my English ;)

 Thanks for reply

This is what I try to make. The GH file no need 3dm file.

Using a vortex to animate it gives a constant force instead of brutal rotations linked to timer.

There are still some length variations though, but perhaps its a little better.
