algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I just tried copying the grasshopper folder from the Rhino 4 to the Rhino 5 root folder and then loading it from that folder. Also installing different Karamba versions at both root folders and still works only the one on Rhino 4 32 bit.
Might be an issue with the Rhino 5 release?? It is no the last month one, it is the previous one.
Actually grasshopper reports an error when I have a different copy of Grasshopper in each Rhino root folder . It still works although
Hi Clemens.
Sorry for not answering yesterday.
The error message was grasshopper itself saying it found two different grasshopper.dll's.
I Uninstalled everything and reinstalled again. Now Karamba is working on Rhino 4 but the 64 bit one on Rhino 5 retrieves that "fem.karambaPINVOKE" , i allresdy checked for duplicated karamba.dll's and .gha and also checked the coff memory load, but it only don't manage to make it worn on rhino 5.
I rather need it because I have geodesic component inside definition which does not work on Rhino 4
Thanks in advance by the way
please try out the x64 karamba-version I just sent you.
Great.
I'll have a try as soon as I can.
Best.
Manuel :)
Got it.
It was still giving the same error, but i decided to give it a chance installing in the same folder as grasshopper (by default they were installed before grasshopper in the rhino4 folder and karamba in the rhino 5 folder).
Now it seems is going to work.
Thank you very much.
Best.
Manuel
Problem seems to be that Karamba installer (64 bits rhino version) installs the plugin inside rhino 5 beta/plugins instead of rhino5WIP/plugins
just in case
Gracias Alejandro.
Casi me vuelvo loco con el instalador
Hello world.
It seems that I am having the same sort of difficulties as Manuel Sotomayor Millan. I did not quite get how he solved it though. I have both Rhino 4 and 5 installed quite recently.
I have problems with the 'fem.karambaPINVOKE' messages as well. I have tried reinstalling karamba x64 in the rhino 4 (x86), instead of the karamba x86 version. When I do that I get the message in the 'Assemble' message box that the MAC address is not compatible.
I run Grasshopper installed in the Rhino 4-folder on the Rhino 5 version, I don't know if that is right or not.
Thank you for all help,
Rhino 4 is a 32-bit application, that is the reason why karamba x64 will not work with it.
The problem in Manuels case was that in his version the grasshopper.dll was overwritten upon installation of karamba. This was due to wrong compilersettings but is solved now.
Did you uninstall any old karamba? Try to search/remove all karamba-related dlls on your computer, then reinstall.
Also check the devellopper settings (type 'GrasshopperDeveloperSettings' after having envoked GH): is the 'Memory load...' checkbox set? Are the library search-paths OK?
Best,
Clemens
