Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I'm trying to run a simple catenary form finding exercise of some lines with Kangaroo. I would like to run all at once, but I haven't been able to get any results with a tree structure in the inputs. No problem with a single line (flat lists).

Only thing that's without the tree is the spring 'Stiffness', but I would assume flat list application of that to each member. So, Does the Kangaroo engine mind trees?

Simple samples attached.

Suggestions welcomed.

Cheers

You can pass data structured as trees through the Geometry input but the other inputs (Forces and Anchors) need to be flattened. But you can typically reconstruct the correct geometry by passing it through the Geometry input. You can also apply different stiffnesses to springs.

Thanks Andrew.
