algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I have a super simple definition where I'm generating patches from (lunchbox) hex cells, but I'm having trouble joining the baked results into a single polysurface. Some of them will join, but only in segments (as shown in pic). The edges of the patches don't seem to be truly edge to edge on close inspection. (tolerance is at .001mm).
I also tried the brep join in grasshopper but it didn't work for me either.
I know I'm missing something simple. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,

Patch approximates the geometry according to the data that you feed into it (that's why it has UV subdivs as an input).
A straight-forward approach would be to use "boundary surface" for planar cells and to triangulate the curved hexagons (you'll need a center point for that).
If you want all cells to be planar, then look into Kangaroo by Daniel Piker as well as this discussion: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/planar-hexagons-kangaroo
Oh boy, I had the same problem and did what Gediminas wrote. Worked well. Thank you Gediminas. I'm new here and soaking it all in. Thomas Falater
