Trim intersection of an offset surface component

Hi guys,

 

I have offset a surface in both directions from 4 points and lofted into a 3D form, though I am finding that once the surface is offset then there is a clash where two straight lofts meet, is there a way that I can trim at this intersection before joining them? I am currently offsetting the straight components seperately to the central joining component.
