join surfaces

Hi sorry I am a complete newbie here and learning on my own.

 I cant seem to connect 2 surfaces to join brep component the wires just disconnect when I connect another one

 

I know ive seen this in other defs work what am i doing wrong

Hold the shift key down when connecting more than one wire to an input.
